Specializing in colon and rectal surgery, Dr. Steven Proshan, earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He received his medical degree from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York and completed his general surgery residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He furthered his training with a fellowship (colorectal surgery) at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He is board certification in both general and colorectal surgery and is a member of multiple national and regional surgical societies.
Dr. Steven Proshan has extensive experience with colorectal cancer, polyps, and diverticulitis as well as treatment of anorectal disorders including hemorrhoids, fistulae and fissures, and inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, rectal prolapse, colon and rectal cancer. With a commitment to the latest technology, innovations, and pharmacology he strives to ensure the best outcome for his patients.
